Samoa Hotels

Samoa accommodation can be found mostly in Western Samoa which has some lovely town hotels in Apia as well as beacvh resorts around the coast. American Samoa has limited accommodation aimed mostly at business people.
We have put together this comprehensive collection of accommodations throughout the islands for every type of traveller. We offer over 50 different properties, from the most expensive to the cheapest. Whether you're looking for a week of relaxation on the beach, a surfing adventure or wanting to explore the rich Samoan culture and interact with the people, we offer you the best places to stay with the highest standards of service. We have listed most accommodations so you can find out the true facts, but we haven't listed every single beach fale - there are simply too many - and those we don't list fall short in standard, hygiene or service and these we would not consider promoting to you.
Many Samoa hotels have limited Internet presence and much of what is offered is by the large International travel agents who never visit Samoa to understand its products and only sell the higher end resorts with lots of room capacity. Unfortunately, this rules out more than half of the Samoa hotels available to tourists so you are never likely to get the full picture of what's available. Most of the traditional beach fale accommodations don't even have their own email access so it is almost impossible to plan and pre-book a holiday - that's why we can help you. Each of our carefully selected accommodations are presented with all the important facts to help you make an informed and visual decision.

There are only a dozen or so Samoa beach resorts, most being on the south and west coasts of Upolu Island, the main island of Western Samoa. The largest of the beach resorts is the new Aggie Grey hotel with 60 rooms with the second largest resort having just 22 bungalows. However, there are many more locally owned beach fales dotted around the country which mnake excellent holiday retreats for those looking for simple and traditional accommodation. Beach fales simple wooden huts with thatch roofing are run by local Samoan families on private customary land. These beach fales offer true Samoan hospitality and some of the most scenically beautiful locations in Samoa - there are even several over-water fales. Neighbouring American Samoa has only a few hotels aimed alomost exclusively at businessmen but also make practical bases for exploring the country.

American Samoa hotels and lodges have limited web presence and limited marketing outlets. Few travel agents consider selling the destination, and those that do limit their selection to just one or two of the large business hotels. Many of the small lodges don't have their own websites so it is almost impossible to plan and pre-book a holiday - that's why we can help you ...
