Getting There:
As most flights arrive in the early hours of the morning, the easiest way to get to Litia Sini is to spend your first night in Apia. Catch the Airport Shuttle Bus into Apia Town for ST$15 per person (meets all international arrivals - 40-minutes in mini coach - driver will drop you at requested hotel). Once in Apia, the best way to get to Litia Sini is to take the Green Turtle Tour. Green Turtle are based in Apia and depart each day at 8am from the Travellers' Lounge, or organise for them to pick you up from your hotel. Simply purchase your travel pass which enables you to hop-on and hop-off the bus as many times as you like during your stay and take a scenic and educational tour en-route.
A taxi direct to Litia Sini from the International Airport will cost about ST$150 (takes 2 hours) and from Apia Town about ST$100. Car rental is not available at the international airport as a Samoan driving license is required - these are only available from the licensing office opposite the Police Station in Apia.
It is possible to get to Litia Sini by public bus. Unfortunately frequencies are limited to just one or two a day and there is no set timetable. Catching a local bus is a fun experience, but perhaps one best left when you don't have your luggage with you - seats are cramped and buses often full!
